Internationally Acclaimed FASSP Squash Players and Their Recent Wins

FASSP Squash took a team of players to participate in two international tournaments, the Pioneer Junior Open in Cologne, Germany and the Dutch Junior Open in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Pioneer Junior Open

Our team of players performed very well especially Emma Carney, as she won her division (Girls U 13). Emma exceeded expectations and played at such a high caliber that she won the title to this prestigious tournament, which only one other American has ever achieved.

Dutch Junior Open

Emma Carney, consistently performs at such a high level which qualified her for the finals once again. She fought hard and played exceptionally, but fell a bit short in the end. Making it to the finals of these two tournaments is an extremely difficult task and she displayed a high level of maturity.

Spanish Junior Open

Harrison Gill, one of the top players in country in the BU 17 division, participated in this tournament. In doing so, Harrison made it through to the finals and won it all. An unprecedented victory for a US player.

Maria Elena Ubina makes the US Women’s Squash team

Maria Elena Ubina, former G19 #1, US Open Champion, Pioneer Junior Open Champion, and current Princeton #1, made the US Women’s Squash team, which will play in the PAN AM’s held in Mexico this September. This just adds to this young player’s illustrious career.
